Excellant movie
Its a movie which not everyone will like. Its 0% entertainment, 100% content. If u r in a mood for entertainment, dont go for it. Thavamai thavamirunthu, is Cheran's master piece. There is no twist's or turn's in the movie. It just captures the life of the protagonist, RajKiran. How he brings up his kids, and how he spends his later part of life. u'll be easily able to find urself in the one of the character. Cheran is the only person who acted in this movie, others lived the character. RajKiran carries this heavy subject on him with ease.
Now to direction.Cheran deserves an applause in these areas...
- The foto shop next to RajKiran's press will have fotos of stars, of that time. During 70's it'll have Sivakumar,MGR, fotos. In 80's it'll have Mohan,Kamal's foto.
- The tea shop next to RajKiran's house will play songs/news of that time.

I saw that movie too. It was indeed very good. A welcome change from the usual crap we see everyday!
i liked the movie...but some scenes were bit long making the movie a lot longer...& yes it was an awesome performance by rajkiran...
Kandippa pakkanum. Even everybody says that its a good movie.
I've heard that it is good and hoping to watch it very soon.
I watched the first half and it was very moving. Cheran definitely has proved he's keeping up the expectations. Just that he shouldnt get too stereo typed and take something different.
